GREEN ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS / FACILITY ASSESSMENT

Facility Engineering
Health Assessment

See the Risk. Plan the Work. Protect the Asset.

Your facility may be operational today, but ageing infrastructure, deferred maintenance, inefficient systems and unnoticed engineering risks can quickly become costly operational problems.

The GES Facility Engineering Health Assessment gives property owners, facility managers and organisations a structured understanding of the condition of their facility, the risks that require attention and the improvements that should be prioritised.

What We Assess

Our assessment considers the visible condition, operational risks and improvement opportunities across key facility infrastructure, including:

01

Building & Infrastructure

  • General building condition
  • Visible deterioration and defects
  • Roofs, floors and access areas
  • Stormwater and drainage
  • External infrastructure
  • Maintenance condition
02

Mechanical & Utility Systems

  • Pumps and associated equipment
  • Piping and visible plumbing infrastructure
  • HVAC observations
  • Water storage and distribution
  • General mechanical equipment condition
  • Utility reliability risks
03

Electrical Infrastructure

  • Visible electrical condition
  • Distribution-board observations
  • Lighting
  • Backup power infrastructure
  • Obvious electrical safety or operational concerns
04

Water & Wastewater

  • Water supply arrangements
  • Storage capacity
  • Borehole infrastructure
  • Water-treatment requirements
  • Leakage and water-loss observations
  • Wastewater management
  • Water reuse and efficiency opportunities
05

EHSQ & Operational Risk

  • Workplace safety observations
  • Access and housekeeping
  • Contractor-related risks
  • Maintenance hazards
  • Operational vulnerabilities
  • Visible compliance gaps requiring further investigation

What You Receive

Following the assessment, GES prepares a professional Facility Engineering Health Report containing:

  • Executive facility-health summary
  • Photographic observations
  • Engineering findings
  • Identified operational and infrastructure risks
  • Priority ratings
  • Recommended corrective actions
  • Improvement opportunities
  • Preliminary budget guidance where appropriate
  • Immediate, short-term, medium-term and strategic action plan

Priority Classification

Satisfactory

No significant concerns identified within the assessment scope.

Attention Required

Maintenance or improvement should be planned.

Significant Attention Required

Material operational, maintenance or asset risks have been identified.

Critical

Immediate investigation or corrective action is recommended.

More Than a Building Inspection

The objective is not simply to identify defects.

GES helps clients understand:

  1. 01What is happening
  2. 02Why it matters
  3. 03What should be done
  4. 04What should happen first

Where further investigation, specialist engineering, design or project implementation is required, GES can assist with developing the next phase of work.

Who Is It For?

The service is suited to:

  • Commercial properties
  • Warehouses and distribution facilities
  • Factories and workshops
  • Schools and educational facilities
  • Churches and community facilities

Assessment scope, pricing & limitations

This is primarily a visual and operational facility-health assessment of accessible infrastructure. Findings are based on conditions observable and information available at the time of assessment.

The assessment does not constitute a structural certificate, electrical Certificate of Compliance, fire or statutory certification, destructive investigation or specialist professional certification unless specifically included in writing. Detailed design, testing and remedial works are quoted separately where required.

Any applicable VAT will be indicated on the formal quotation. Pricing is subject to facility size, geographical location, complexity, number of buildings and additional requirements.
